Default IDS farming still worth doing?

im thinking about starting to do some icy dragon sword farming and im just wondering if theyre still dropping with the loot scaling update, and if they are, if they sell well and what they go for.
also, is soloing this possible on hard mode?

if it is possible and this build:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=97778
doesnt work, can someone post a build that will work for hard mode?

thanks

Interesting thought about loot scaling, as these items are blue they may very well be affected.

As for thet build, it is extremely old. I'm sure I've seen a recent thread for an IDS build, don't know if it's for hard mode though.

yeah i agree with winston ....
last week i had 1 bt had a hard time selling it off.
Lots of ppl jus see without buying and shockingly many told me "its not gold" finally sold it for 22k took me abt 4 hours of fustration

1 hr to farm 4 hrs to sell for 22k

In my opinion waste of time. Jus post a want to buy if u need 1 dun pay more than 20k for a clean 1

I agree with winston and farmpig.
Only farm IDS if you want one, dont do it for prophit.
Its a pain to get, and can be a hellofa pain to sell.
But,
On the same token, back in the day I did buy my 15k glad off of IDS farming...But with the recent changes to the farming system I would just say dont bother.

Ever since the loot scaling, yes, they can be hard to find. This could result in their prices rising significantly. However, when the -50 Cesta became unavailable from the "Cities of Ascalon" quest, the price on it didn't change at all. To answer the question, the sword would only be worth attempting to farm if the price of it increased enough to make the 1/8th of a chance it has to drop worthwile. (It already was a pretty rare drop for the imps.)

I would say that the only way to make IDS Farming worthwhile would be if the price rose, ooo, say 60k to around 80k?

It is an extremely nice skin, and I could definatley see it rising that high.
